Gwyneth Paltrow was in the kitchen in a new post shared on her GOOP Instagram page on Wednesday.
The 50-year-old Oscar-winning actress was making a salmon salad that she said was a “Detox Reset” meal she chatted up on her GOOP site.
While the cookbook author looked like she knew what she was doing in the kitchen, some of her followers trashed her for a variety of reasons. A few were upset that she used farmed salmon, others were annoyed that she didn’t use all of her asparagus stalks, and then there was one person who hated her when she used the word “detox.”
Let’s cook! Gwyneth Paltrow was in the kitchen in a new post shared on her GOOP Instagram page on Wednesday

Light and easy: The 50-year-old Oscar-winning actress was making a salmon salad that she said was a “Detox reset” meal she chatted up on her GOOP site
Comments were generally mixed with several people angry about the salmon appearing to be farmed and not line caught.
“The farm-raised salmon she eats is probably the most toxic,” said one person.
There was another comment about her salmon: “It was going so well until she used farmed salmon instead of wild ones.”
And it just went on from there, “I just read an article about how bad salmon is for you of most fish. Among other things, it retains the most mercury.’

So many critics: Although the cookbook author looked like she knew what she was doing in the kitchen, some of her followers trashed her for various reasons

Pout it: Some were mad that she used farmed salmon, others were annoyed that she didn’t use all of her asparagus stalks, and then there was a person who hated her and used the word “detox”
Another follower disliked Paltrow’s use of the word “detox.”
“So, for example, people go to ‘detox’ to get sober/clean from alcohol and drugs because they are poison. Your organs detoxify you every day. Which foods are toxic enough to detox? Eliminating certain foods from your diet is not the same as undergoing a detox.
The salad was basically salmon on a bed of veggies – carbs weren’t invited to this feast.

The veggies consisted of grilled asparagus, green onions, and squash cooked under the broiler, but she said you could use whatever you had in your fridge.
When she cut up the asparagus, she didn’t use all of the stems, leading some followers to be unhappy and say it was “wasteful.”
She then broiled two pieces of salmon that had been brushed with olive oil and when it was done, she placed the fish on a bed of romaine lettuce.

A steak with her salmon: “That farm-raised salmon she eats is probably the most toxic,” said one person. There was another comment about her salmon: ‘It was going so well until she used farmed salmon instead of wild ones’
Next came out a “very simple” chive-maple Dijon vinaigrette that she spooned on.
“I mean look how bountiful and beautiful this is… it’s nutritious, that’s one big meal,” she shared.
The Instagram caption read, “Day 7 | Recipes so delicious you’ll forget you’re resetting. There are many recipes (and over-the-counter recipes) to choose from as you plan your week – your Reset guide will show you everything in detail. Link now in bioshop.’

So much salmon talk: And it just went on, “I just read an article about how bad salmon is for you of most fish. Among other things, it retains the most mercury’
“Thank you so much for following me on my Goop Reset meal, I’m feeling really good,” the mother-of-two who was formerly married to rocker Chris Martin ended.
The Shakespeare In Love star wore a light gray V-neck jumper and high-waisted jeans that gave a hint of her toned stomach.
She had parted her blonde hair and wore no makeup, but added a few rings to her fingers to sparkle.
