
Howden, the international insurance broker, has announced that it has agreed to acquire Assimovie, Italy’s leading TV, film and advertising broker. The transaction underscores Howden’s continued commitment to investing in expertise by creating a sports and entertainment specialty for the benefit of Italian customers.
The acquisition makes Howden the largest TV and film production agent in Italy and represents its ambition to be a leading sports and entertainment agent in Europe.
Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 2013 by Valeria and Camilla Guglielmotti, Assimovie has a portfolio of film production insurance that stems from wholesale brokerage and direct operations. The company has experienced substantial growth over the past five years, driven by the global increase in demand for TV, film and general content.
