
EXCLUSIVE: UTA has signed writer, director, performer and producer Tommy Dorfman for worldwide representation in all areas.
Dorfman is currently in post-production on her first feature film I wish you all the best, which she directed and produced from her own script. The project, starring Alexandra Daddario and Corey Fogelmanis, is based on the novel of the same name by Mason Deaver, which Dorfman optioned in 2019. conservative parents and move in with their estranged sister.
Matt Kaplan produces Dorfman’s first feature film for ACE Entertainment (To all the boys I loved before franchise), with Aubrey Bendix and Braden Bochner overseeing production for the company. James Harris is an executive producer on behalf of TeaShop Films.
Dorfman began her career as an actress, most recently appearing alongside Lena Dunham in her Sundance premiere film Sharp stick — the first aided by the eight-time Emmy nominee Girls maker since her breakthrough in 2010 Small furniture. Other notable on-screen credits include Hulu/Disney+ Love, Viktorthat of Netflix Insatiable and 13 reasons whyand the CWs Jane the Virgin.
On the brand side, Dorfman has led campaigns targeting the LBTQIA+ community with top companies such as Calvin Klein, Coach, Valentino and Amazon Luxury, to name a few. She recently sold her first book – a collection of essays, titled The High Priestess – which will be released in 2023, and art directed and photographed the Break the Internet cover of Paper magazine.
Dorfman has also written essays for Teen Vogue and New York Magazine, and launching her own trans-inclusive fashion and wellness brand, Club Curran. She is still represented by Anonymous Content and Yorn, Levine, Barnes.
