The Pakistan cricket team suffered a heartbreaking loss to Zimbabwe. The Men in Green would be dejected as they are about to be eliminated from the marquee. The team had no intention as chasing 131 runs in modern cricket is by no means an arduous task.
2009 T20 World Cup champions took Zimbabwe lightly and paid the price for it. The Pakistani bowlers were quite disciplined in their line and height, making sure they didn’t let any batter get a significant score.
Wasim Akram on Pakistan
Wasim Akram was seen interacting with the sports channel ‘A’ and was asked about Pakistan’s performance. “This is what I was talking about. As Waqar said, everyone should sit down. Everyone from Pakistan last year, including us, knew that the middle order is somewhat weak. This guy is sitting here, Shoaib Malik. If I were the captain, what is my ultimate goal as a skipper? It’s to win the World Cup.” said Akram.

“I will go to some extent in selecting the team that can win you the World Cup. If I want Shoaib Malik in the middle class I will make sure to pass that on to the selectors chairman, otherwise I say I I won’t be captain if I don’t get my side.Akram added.
About top order dependency
The Pakistan cricket team is too dependent on Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan to score points. The duo is able to chase any giant target on any given day; but that doesn’t mean they score the majority of runs every time.

Head Coach Saqlain Mushtaq has to be questioned because the batting unit looks fragile. With successive losses, Pakistan’s fate is in the other hand. It would be interesting to see if the Men in Green changes tactics in the remaining games.
