South Africa Cricket Team suffered a massive defeat to Pakistan. The Men in Green defeated South Africa and have now won 2 out of 4 matches and still have a slim chance of qualifying for the semi-finals. Pakistani bowlers showed a lot of character as the field was a batting paradise.
South Africa will most likely not top Group 2 as they now have 5 points from 4 matches. Apart from that, the middle order of Proteas has been exposed. Rilee Rossouw’s inconsistency is starting to hurt South Africa as the batter appears to be in a hurry to make shots.
Temba Bavuma on defeat
Skipper Temba Bavuma reflected on the performance and made some interesting statements. “I wouldn’t say it’s a concern. Probably a bit of a wake up call. I thought we were fantastic for the first ten overs. We were able to pressure them. Then the wheels probably came off.” said Bavuma.

“Like I said, I don’t think it’s a big concern. Yes, there are points of discussion for us, areas we can learn from. Maybe it’s a performance we needed to bring us back to Earth.he added.
Caring for South Africa
South Africa suffered an injury to David Miller early in the game. The left-handed batter has played quite a role in finishing the games for the team. However, the injury is not that serious as he is expected to be fit against the Netherlands on November 6.

The Proteas don’t have the luxury of hitting deep because they don’t have many power hitters. Head Coach Mark Boucher is said to be concerned about Quinton de Kock’s form as the batter is looking for ways to get out. Quinton is quite pivotal to the setup, as he has a knack for quickly changing the facets of the game.
