
25-year-old Bangladesh National Cricket Team all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz won the Player of the Series award in the three-match ODI series between Litton Das & Co. and the India National Cricket Team.
The all-rounder played a key role in Bangladesh’s stunning 2-1 ODI series victory over the visitors. In the first ODI while chasing 187, Bangladesh lost wickets at regular intervals and were reduced to 136/9 and it looked like the Men In Blue would win the match.

However, game-changer Mehidy Hasan Miraz had other plans as he counter-attacked and built a remarkable 51-run partnership with Mustafizur Rahman to help Bangladesh to a 1-wicket win.
In the second ODI, Bangladesh won the coin toss and chose to bat first. They were reduced to 69/6, but Mehidy Hasan Miraz built a remarkable partnership with Mahmudullah to help his side put a good total of 271/7 on the board. Also, the partnership between Mahmudullah and Mehidy was the main reason behind Bangladesh’s victory with five points in the match.

Looking unstoppable in the second ODI, Mehidy Hasan Miraz smashed his first century off 83 balls and his innings consisted of 8 fours and 4 sixes. With the ball, Mehidy took 4 wickets in the series.

Speaking after the third ODI between India and Bangladesh, Mehidy Hasan Miraz praised Team India and said they are a good side in all three formats of the game.
He added that Team Bangladesh has performed well in recent years and they can certainly do well at the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup to be held in India. Mehidy Hasan Miraz said:
“They are a good side in any format. We’ve done well in recent years. We have a World Cup ahead of us and we can do well next year.”
He went on to say that there are several seniors in the squad who continue to support the youngster. The 25-year-old said:
“We have a lot of seniors. They support us. We gain confidence. We want to get better. I try to think.”
Meanwhile, Bangladesh faced a humiliating 227-run defeat in the third ODI at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Saturday 10 December.
