Naushad Khan, father of Mumbai sensation Sarfaraz Khan, has shared an unknown story about his son and Arjun Tendulkar, son of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar.
Both Sarfaraz and Arjun played age-level cricket together while growing up in Mumbai. At the moment, they both perform their profession in domestic cricket for separate teams. While Sarfaraz Khan has become one of the key players of Mumbai, Arjun represents Goa.
Sarfaraz has been one of the most consistent hitters on the domestic circuit in recent seasons. In the current season he has hit 556 runs in six games at 92.66, including three tons. In the previous two seasons of the Ranji Trophy, the right-handed batsman amassed 928 runs from nine innings at 154.66 and 982 runs from nine innings at 122.75.
Speaking of Arjun, he is also having a good showing in his first season with Goa. The all-rounder hit a century on his Ranji Trophy debut. With the ball he has taken 12 wickets in 6 matches with a best mark of 3/104.
When Sarfaraz Khan was jealous of Arjun Tendulkar:
In a recent interview, Naushad Khan revealed how his son was jealous of Arjun during his childhood. Naushad revealed how his son compared his life to Arjun’s.
Speaking to The Bharat Express News, Naushad recalled that a young Sarfaraz came up to him and said: “Abbu, Arjun kitna naseebwala hai na? He is Mr. Sachin’s son and has cars, I-pads, everything.
However, Sarfaraz was aware of the sacrifices his father made for his career. Speaking further, Naushad revealed that after comparing himself to Arjun, Sarfaraz said to him: ‘I’m luckier than him. You can spend all day on me. His father cannot give him time”.

Meanwhile, Sarfaraz recently became the talk of the town after the national selectors again decided not to call him up for the Test team. The Mumbai star failed to secure a spot in India’s squad for the upcoming four-match Test series against Australia.
