NFP appoints Canning SVP
NFP has named Andrew Canning senior vice president and chief project risk advisory for the company’s growing North American construction and infrastructure group. Part of NFP’s specialty business, the group provides clients with comprehensive construction and assurance services specifically designed for complex national and cross-border projects.
Canning comes from Marsh, where he served as general manager and led the construction team. Before that, he was Senior Vice President at Aon Risk Services, where he provided expertise in national and international construction projects. His background also includes leadership positions at Amoco, Near North Insurance Brokerage and Wrapid Specialty.
Everspan appoints Lucas as Chief Underwriting, Reinsurance Officer
Specialist P/C insurance platform Everspan Group has announced the appointment of Darwin Lucas as chief underwriting and resurance officer. He will report directly to Everspan president Steve Dresner and oversee the company’s program activities and reinsurance relationships.
Based in Atlanta, Lucas has more than 24 years of program insurance experience. Most recently, he served as US Head of Casualty & Professional Hybrid Solutions at Everest Reinsurance Company, where he was responsible for managing the Facultative Reinsurance division’s program portfolio and developing broader relationships with reinsurance trading partners. Prior to that, he was senior vice president of accident programs for Maxum Specialty Insurance Group.
